The Tivoli Audio SongBook Max takes the formula for the SongBook and super sizes it in performance and features. Anyone familiar with the original may see the family resemblance from a distance but when you get in for a closer look at the Max sized SongBook you see that almost everything has changed, as befits a product of the mid 2020’s.

The SongBook Max mixes timeless design with modern functionality to give a listening experience like no other. It exudes a retro charm with its analogue user experience complete with its toggle switches, EQ sliders and tuning knobs. The carry handle and durable frame make it a perfectly portable device whilst the high-gloss finish brings a refinement that make it perfect for any space, any situation, and any style.

Quality Sound: The powerful amp design and multi-driver configuration deliver an exceptional, immersive sound experience that fills any space. Entertaining at home or hosting outdoors, it is designed to deliver max sound quality even at high levels. With analogue EQ, you have control over the audio output, allowing you to customize the sound to your preferences. The SongBook Max is about as big as a tote bag or a hardcover encyclopaedia and manages to punch above its weight with two 4” drivers, one specifically for bass and the other covering the midrange as well as a dedicated tweeter for detailed and expressive high frequencies. A 20 Watt amplifier powers each of the larger drivers with a 10 Watt amplifier taking care of the tweeter.

Our Take On The Tivoli Audio SongBook Max

This modern interpretation of the SongBook Max has never sounded so good and Tivoli Audio have, to their credit, kept things refreshingly simple. Quite a contrast to some of their other recent releases.

With the latest Bluetooth 5.3 you’ll be securely streaming all your favourites whether inside with friends at your Saturday night soiree or out and about in the great outdoors listening to gentle acoustic sounds at a picnic or dancing to the beat around a bonfire on the beach. And, with up to 10 hours of battery life, the SongBook Max will last at least as long as you will. The inclusion of FM & DAB+ radio is a winner so you can enjoy your favourite music station or maybe catch the game live while you’re out in the garden relaxing.

The analogue EQ is a great touch that lets you tailor your tunes to suit while the auxiliary input lets you plug in a turntable, guitar or keyboard to give you even more music making options. The built in carry handle is a nice detail and the cream/brown and green colour options lend a pleasing touch of vibrancy to proceedings.
